EDIT - Finished Crafts - Wave 4 Blind Bag Ponies Question

I don't collect the new ponies and have never gotten the blind bags in the past but I was thinking about buying some to do crafts with, probably Christmas ornaments.  What I want to know is if there are any that I shouldn't mess with if I happen to get it or are they all pretty common and fair game for crafts?

As far as I know the wave 4 blind bags are all pretty common; they're still in stores where I live. The only ones to watch out for are the wave 2 blind bags which were never released in North America, and the light pink, glittery Twilight Sparkle that appeared in wave 1 and was found in limited quantities.

The sparkly ponies are pretty common, really. I have a couple of full sets of them for sale if you need them for crafts and can't find them near you. The only one I've sort of waylaid was Fluttershy, but her sparkly version is being re-released in various other sets now too.

i usually stick with the mane six, just because they are easier to find. otherwise it's what ever you want to do with them.
i do recommend avoiding the glitter ones, cuz the glitter is evil as all get out to get off.

Wave 4 (glittery ponies/blue packaging) is very common. Wave 3 is harder to find. Hands off of doing anything with Wave 2 Ponies, since they are europe only and very limited.

Wave 1...eh...common. So here's a table from Most common to Most rare:

Yeah not many people know about it. It's like a misty blue rather than purple.

In general blind bags are pretty common so you would certainly be safe using wave 4 for craft projects [I hope you post pictures of what you do!]. If they are your ponies to purchase you certainly can of course do as you wish with them.

but yes, in my area waves 1, 4 and 3 are pretty common. we havent had 5 or 6 here in NJ. :<

Here's my finished ornaments.  I was going to do something with mini lights but I decided to keep my sanity and this is what I came up with.  They're really pretty on the tree, picking up light from the tree and sparkling a bit.

I am not sure about price to be honest - perhaps check out etsy and see what similar home made ornaments or blind bag crafts are selling for?
