FS Applejack Hat Size and suggestions?

I have a FS Applejack and was wondering if any custom maker or non had the measurements of the hat handy or could get them for me. I don't have a hat to go off of and would like to get the size as close to perfect as purpose when I make attempt to make one. Also any recommendations for materials would be great. (I plan to actually not sculpt it (unless I can get my hands on that flexible type clay no clue what it's called).. but would make a base out of cardboard first then maybe do it in faux leather? Any advice or tips would be great. Thanks a ton and happy holidays!

I wish I could be more help for you.  Maybe use tissue paper to create a mock up hat and measure?
