Dirty Ponies!

I LOVE to buy large lots on ebay however you just never know what condition they are really in until you get a hold of them.  So, I knew I was expecting a package today and would be spending most of the day cleaning ponies.  What I didn't expect was that I would also have to take an additional shower just to feel clean again!

These poor ponies were sooooooo diiiirrrtttttyyyyyy that if they could talk I would love to know their story!  The lot contained 5 TAF babies, Yum Yum, Sweet Celebration Family, Bright Eyes, and much more and luckily they will all clean up very nicely, but geez!  I needed to take another shower after going through them just to feel clean again! So happy to finally have my TAF babies though!

Lol!! I have gotten a couple very dirty lots before too. I certainly felt like I had to wash my hands right after touching them!

They are really fun to clean up though. Sounds like you great a good lot!

I've had some G3s from eBay before that I just physically couldn't touch the hair. It was so sticky and oily, I had to scrub my hands to get them feeling hand-like again. I had to get my boyfriend to wash through the hair it made me feel that rough!

I do this with my G3s. Figured it might save water... but I think I might take too much time washing the ponies to be saving anything

yes I have done this two and when I was a kid I took them in the bath too, that made poor dibbles hair turn white.

I need to go clean some ponies right now actually...that are not super dirty but I get wanting to take a shower with or AFTER cleaning new and very dirty pony friends!

I've received ponies stinking of pee before too, inside the package too, I e-mailed the seller about it and she was really rude!  The cheek of it!  If I hadn't really wanted the ponies in the parcel I'd have sent them back, but I just got my rubber gloves on and got the bleach out xxx

hehehe, I've done this too.  I don't think I've ever gotten anything nasty enough to be a good story.  Grime here and there, no no bodily fluids that I could tell.  I wash them all anyway unless they come from another collector and are already clean and styled.  Just in case.
