Help with lost item (Non pony)
« on: December 29, 2012, 08:47:02 PM »
I sold some of my Zelda games a few weeks ago and one them was not delivered. I just received a message from the buyer about saying she was getting ready to leave feedback for me. Since I've been keeping an eye on the tracking, I offered her a full refund, since I know it's not her or my fault. I don't have a huge problem with it. But the PO, I have a big problem with. I got tracking on it and it seemed to be "stuck" in Ohio since the 19th. I'm kind of upset, I have NO idea what happened there. Way to drop the ball PO. How do I go about dealing with this? Is there any way that I can do anything about trying to find this item? I didn't get insurance, didn't think I needed it. I know that I'm at a loss there...

Thanks in advance.  -_-

I honestly just had this happen with an item and I am in Ohio too.  It was first sent to the wrong depot in North Carolina, then made it's way to Virginia, then back to the wrong depot in NC, no update for days, then finally arrived to it's destination almost two weeks later. Seriously Ohio to NC is not that far

What I did is make sure I kept good communication with my buyer.  I provided links to the tracking info and made sure I gave her updates if I saw anything change in it's status.  She completely agreed it was the PO's fault and we decided to wait a bit longer to see if it either arrived to her or back to me. But I made sure I let her know that I would issue a refund if it did not arrive.

I don't know but it sounds to me since we are both in Ohio there is something amiss within our PO system.

Very much agreed, ButtCheekSqueaker! Lol is this ponylady? I'm not sure who I am talking to bahahaha!

But anyway, she's been an awesome buyer. I've already given her a refund, and if she does end up getting the game, oh well. Things will even out for me. I was just glad that she was so understanding. Some buyers can be rude, crude and mean when obviously after it gets to the PO, it's not my fault. Ohio post, what's the deal!

Okay I want to update this! My buyer went above and beyond on her own to track down the package. She called the sorting center where it was last seen and she said they confirmed that the package was destroyed in a machine. :(

OMG LadySatine! Thats terrible!! That doesn't give me much comfort about using their system if they can destroy packages and not compensate for it.

You'd think that they would notify you if your package you sent gets destroyed? I guess not :( Sorry for the PO mishap. Glad things worked out for the both of you though at least you figured out what happened to it instead of wondering and waiting for it to show up.

That is absolutely horrible!!! What in the world is going on with our PO as of recent?  I have never had a lick of trouble in years. And now the horror stories.

Do they plan on doing anything about it?

Oh my goodness! thats awful! :whoa:  :yikes:   I'm glad you and your buyer got things worked out, but really that is disgusting that the PO workers destroyed the parcel and didnt even have the decency to let the sender (or the receiver)  know what had happened
