Hi.

A week and a half ago, a member here asked if someone could bid on an item for them because the seller would only ship to the US and the arena member was located in Australia.  I offered to help and the member pm'ed me with a link to the item.  At that point, we had 9 days to go.

The problem is, that member hasn't not contacted me at all since and the item bid expires in an hour.  I made one bid and got outbidded and I have no idea if the member would want me to bid more or not because I haven't heard from them.  I don't know if I should bid again or let it go.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I would not bid anymore. If they really wanted it they would tell you. I know there is a big time differnce, but they should of kept in contact with you. I bought from a lady in AUS two times now and she kept in good contact with me!  To bad they are not getting back to you :(

You do not want to bid more then what they want to pay. Then be stuck with it :(

Avena is right, if they haven't been in contact with you and you placed a bid to the max bid they asked you to, don't go any higher.

I always tell people nice enough to do this for me what my max is, if it goes over what I'm prepared to pay then so be it. I also try to keep in contact with my helper as much as I can.

Its kind of you to want to help the Aus member , but I  agree with what the others already said -  she should have kept in contact with you, and kept an eye on the auction herself. If she wanted you to bid higher after you got outbid, then she should have messaged you at the time. Dont place any more bids on the item now, unless she sends you a message before the end of the auction  :awake:
