any difference in blind bag repeat characters

i was just wondering if anybody could help me on these.
are there any difference with Gardenia glow bb wave 5 and the Tru versions
also with skywishes, or are they exactly the same
also the crystal fluttershys wave 2,4 and rainbow collection

The crystal Fluttershys are a little different. Someone made a really good comparison thread on the glitter BBs a while ago, but I can't find it at the moment  This photo on mylittlewiki shows the difference (wave 2, rainbow, wave 4)

Not sure on the others but interested to hear myself!

there isn't too much of a difference in the FS's, im guessing wave 2 is at the end, i think thats the one iv got

Roseluck in the dark purple bags seems to be yellower than the earlier Roseluck? I'd have to do a comparison since I already put my repeat away to sell.

thats ok, i bought the yellow thinking she was a prototype of the wave 1 only to find the next day or two she was to be released in wave 6

Yeah Roseluck is more yellow in wave 6 and her hair is more red too. There's also a Cherry Spices in wave 6 that's in Twilight's mould instead of Rarity's.

Hi Shabichicdee, Skywishes and Gardenia Glow have 2 different variants.  The TRU ones are darker and are a bolder colour of pink/green, whereas the wave 5 ones are much more pastel and lighter in colour.

That Fluttershy picture is Wave 2, Rainbow Collection, and Wave 4 on the end.  I also dug up one of the threads with comparison pictures of most of the other glittery blind bags: http://mlparena.com/mlp/index.php/topic,304519.msg338773.html#msg338773  I'm sure I've seen another thread with more comparisons of them though.

I'd love to see comparisons on Skywishes and Gardenia Glow too.

I did'nt noticed any difference in Gardenia Glow & Skywishes lol That's why I sold my double

They are definitely different, sorry i don't have pics right now, but the difference in colour is similar to the older Lily Blossom and newer one.

Personally if I have found anything across blind bags is that there can be variations in the same releases. I have a Lyra and Noteworthy which I got from China, the same 2 I bought in Asda in the UK and the same 2 I got as extras in trade from the US - they all have minor colour variations. Very minor shades in Noteworthy but quite noticeable in Lyra.

I am thinking due to the sheer volume of these manufactured - at different times - in different batches - there will be some variation in shades. Probably largely unintentional rather than deliberate.

Lol...so the end all of that waffle Is that yes, I believe there is in fact variation in every release of blind bag which is released across more than one set including GG and SW. However, how much of a colour variation and whether the variation is even uniform across a set is completely variable.

The serial numbers on the bottom of the blind bags are the difference. Serial numbers or none at all.

Alright, got a pic.  The Toys R Us ponies are on the left, while their wave 5 counterparts are on the right.

Skywishes went from being a more vibrant pink to lighter pink, and Gardenia Glow is a lighter shade of green  as part of wave 5.  Maybe they just were an odd batch where the colours are off, but I thought it was odd that both of them were lighter.

Its not something you would necessarily notice unless they were sitting side by side for comparison.

There is certainly a difference from batch to batch and release to release - great picture BrightIdea. I just wonder whether its consistent or intentional? Lol I guess we ll never work that one out though.
