I thought this was odd...any ideas, anyone?
« on: November 20, 2012, 03:37:42 PM »
So I'm prepping a pony for customisation. It's G3 Lavender Cloud, and I was busy picking the mane away when I noticed somehting that I have never seen before.

As you may (or may not) know, her mane in three different colour sections - purple, white and blue. In between the two rows of hair holes, as the hair came away, I noticed two very thin lines of what could be paint, in the same three colours, purple in between the holes where the purple hair was, then white and finally blue.

It's absolutely boggled me. Does anybody know why the lines are there? I guess they're there as guides to show which hair colour goes where, but it's something I've never seen on any other pony - and believe me, I've de-maned many ponies in my time LOL
Thank you *wyvernchick* for my lovely avvie!

Huh.  That's a new one.  I've had a few with white, but not that.

Yeah, G3s have lines of paint as color guides. A lot of G3s have this. :)

Yeah, I've seen this too. I was prepping a Star Swirl and she had color guides. Weird! But I got rid of most of it with acetone.

You really do learn a new thing every day! I'd never spotted such a thing before...I shall be checking closely next time I de-hair a G3.

Thanks for that.
