Need Dolly Advice
« on: November 22, 2012, 05:55:22 AM »
Hello Everyone and Happy Turkey day.

So here is what I need help with. I placed a couple of Pullips for sale over on Dolly Market. Also one of my Taeyangs. Well I had an offer for all 3. I can see making a deal for all 3 but I've got alot of money tied up with my girls and boy. I know I'm not gonna get back out of them what I paid for them but. I have over a hundred in both girls and then I paid 100 for my Sebby. So thats like 300. I was willing to let them all go for like 225. But now this person just wants to keep taking the price lower. To like 175 or something. I think my dolls are worth more then that personal but I just feel like I'm being ripped off somehow.

What I need to know is would you think it is ok to back out of a situation like this? I'm really torn I've never back out of a sale but I just don't wanna give my dolls away either. Please help!

It's fine to back out, you don't need to be bullied or feel pressured into selling.

You can back out of a sale at any point, unless money has changed hands, and be fine.

Just tell the person you are not willing to go much lower than the listed prices, if you don't really want them to go too low :)

Thanks for the help. I've never had someone super low ball me like this before. I mean I'm willing to work out a deal that will please us both if one can be made but I just don't wanna lose crazy money in the end either.

Your original post is very reasonable.  I'm sure if they read it, they'd understand your side of things.  Just explain to them everything you've said here, and tell them if they aren't happy with the price THEY can back out:)

Don't accept the deal if you feel like you're losing too much, which you are, imo. Someone else may pay the price you're asking for, just have to be patient. ^^

There's no problem in backing out. Just explain to them what you explained to us and tell them you're looking for a little bit more. If they get mad, that's their problem. Just block them.

Good luck. :)

I think its quite rude of them to expect you to go so much lower! Just tll them the price you want and then its up to them if they want to accept it>

They shouldn't get mad anyway - I made an offer on a doll on DM and was turned down. No big deal :)

Definitely do not sell your dolls if you are not comfortable with the price! Unless you need the money urgently in theory they will just keep getting more valuable :)

exactly what everyone has said ... they are your dolls that you are selling ... you have every right to decline the offer ... if they want the dolls they will up their offer if they can afford it ... i mean, crap ... i'm drooling over Sebby lol but i know i can't swing a decent price so i'm not offering lol

Thanks everyone. I think I am gonna decline the offer. I was kinda in a spot where I thought I needed money for the holidays but my dad just told me not to sell my dolls. He would loan me some money for the holidays and I can get him back when I can.

Thanks again everyone.
