So...making a male goblin for Gabby
« on: November 13, 2012, 03:09:21 PM »
As you all know, I have the lovely Gabby, and I want to make her a boyfriend goblin, but I'm not sure where to start.  I'm tossing around ideas of using the gargoyle boy as a base, getting wolf ears and glueing them like her ears on the side of his head, and maybe getting some horns for him as well.  Flock his head a bit, something like that.  Ideas?

lol, I was just commenting on this. Using the werewolf ears was a suggestion.
Garboyle as a base is a great idea and I can totally see male goblins having horns.

Thank you!  i was thinking it would look perfect, and flocking could help cover up the places where the horns were joined to his head.  I just think he'd be precious!  I also want to make a son of the Mothman...that would be really neat.

Goblin-Boy sounds awesome! :>
I'd also suggest the Garboyle.. (tho mostly b/c I am biased, since I like his headmold the best out of all the boys yet)

Flocking actually works really nice on the CAMs, since you don't have to cover all the holes first.. I flocked a regular Spectra, and it was a lot of extra-work sealing all the holes with Apoxie. :C
I think it would look really neat! :D
And YAY for horns! Everyone should have horns! xD

Also.. How do you go about the mothman-boy? :O
I'm just curious since I'm planing on a mothgirl (like you often find her in anime-fanart) made out of a Ghoulia, but now I cannot decide how many arms she should have. :7
4 would be most accurate, but I don't know how difficult it will be to track down the extra arms for her, then. Both versions (2-arms, 4-arms) exist.. I just cannot decide which one I like better... (OK, I totally like 4-arms better, but do I like it enough to go through all that extra hassle? xD; )

Questions for everyone!

TexasGal:  What color are you considering for your Goblin?  Keeping him speckled gray?

Kim:  Did you know Plastic Curves have torsos that can have multiple arms attached?  Might make the Mothgirl a bit easier.  If you are set on using Ghoulia, you can pop her head into the CAM torso.  The CAM Werewolf parts are a color match for Ghoulia.

Grzankitter, I am thinking the speckled grey would be perfect!  I was thinking that he would look marvelous for him and perfect for his skin tone.

If i were to do flocking, how would it work over the hole in the back of the head though?  Could I bake the sculpey onto his head or would it melt the plastic?  o.O  And horns would be so darn cute!  I think he'd be precious, LOL!

Or do y'all think he needs longer hair?

The mothman boy I was thinking would also be a gargoyle base, with the bee's wings, and possibly her glasses.  I could possibly get some wings from plastic curves and do a lunar moth (wouldn't that be fantastic?!)

For Lex's hole, I just cut a peice of paper and used sealant to modge-podge to his head (i couldn't find my actual modge-podge but the sealant is holding up well) and when I painted over it, it practically disappeared. It'll be completely unnoticeble. It was thick brown packaging paper mattel sends in their packages.
