Has anyone customed a Stardazzle?

I figured it would be bested to ask here than the Corral but has anyone worked on a Secret Surprise Stardazzle before? Either for customizing or restoration? I have one that I recently bought and wanted to restore but I'm noticing some things that will require me to take her apart x.x

OMG Gaspose!  I love the chalkboard pony!!  Such a clever use of that gaping hole.  Would you mind if I reproduced that?  I'd love to have one sitting on my desk and I have nearly a whole can of chalkboard paint I don't know what to do with!
