If you're looking for something that changes color depending on the angle, pick up a bottle of interference paints.  Depending on how you use them, their effects can be really subtle or in-your-face.

I never heard of those paint so I looked it up. Those are perfect!!! Thank you so much!

No problem.  I use them to accent pony customs sometimes.  Violet over pink was really subtle, but over black is striking.  I've got blue as well, it works nicely to accent eyes.

I am looking at some really gorgeous customs that carve out the eyes and use glass ones instead, and would like to try this myself...Would anyone happen to know what size doll eyes would fit the Monster High girls?

I would assume one of those mini twist hand manual drills could do the trick, but I haven't done it yet myself.

I pierced Kappi's ears with a hot needle. [I think I just used a broken rehairing needle] It took me several different holes to make the one piercing big enough, but it worked out well, I think.

I've used a hot needle myself. Works pretty well.

Thanks guys! I think I'll try the process on Stunt!Frankie before I attempt it on Draculaura.

How do you keep the soot from staining the doll though?

I had a little bit of soot, but it wiped off with no problem

What would be the best way to pierce ears on MH doll?

I use my rootiing needle to stick a pilot hole, then i use my exacto knife to widen until MH earrings fit. I stick in the pointy end and twist. It's the same way I do werewolf ears. Works pretty well for me.

Thanks Ravie! I will try this method out too.

I have to admit I just stuck the needle in and then forced the earrings through the hole. Most of the time it worked fine, but once I had one of the earrings start to bend.
