Monster High Collection Room Ideas?

Hello,

I just got the word that I've gotten the apartment I've applied for. SO EXCITED! It has an extra bed room and I've always wanted a separate room for my collections so I've decided to do a monster high collection room since my monster high collection (200+) is taking over my tiny current living room.

I'm looking to you guys for ideas and inspirations of what to do for a collection room for monster High? Wall Color? Shelf Idea's? Any other ideas of how to display my monster High Stuff?

I painted the walls of my room gray, and the trim black.  I thought the grey wouldn't clash with any of the colors of the dolls.  I had wanted to line the walls behind the shelves with mirrors so you could see the backs of the dolls when looking at them face to face, but that didn't work out.  Still an idea though.  I might put up backcards for a little bit of backround.

My room is still a WIP.  I don't even have shelves up yet:(  Since my collection is so big (as is yours) I'm gonna buy a whole bunch of these to save on space:

I can't remember who it was, but someone around here is using them, and their display looks nice and clean:)

Thanks for posting those grzan!! When I first saw them, I was wondering what they were and where to get them. Will have to invest in them, too!!

I use the Expand-A-Shelf, too. My display is nowhere near as clean as NoD's, though, as it's full to bursting with dolls.

I need another set of them, because that shelf is now Ghoulia only, and my other dolls have moved to their own shelf. too many dolls... x_x

OooooOOOOO, I need that. For my kitchen though, my ponies shave something similar (made from recycled boxes) and I am planning on this week making a 'hang out' out of a shelf in my office for my MH dolls to hang out in. I don't want them just standing there (although I love looking at other people's 'standing' collections). I think I want them hanging out, kind of interacting with each other. I just bought lighting for my endeavor. Now to spray paint tables and a bar and the pool table and construct chairs and stools and other seating

Also, I want to see Sunnie's collection! Wow, 200+ dolls!

NoD:  That's the exact picture I was thinking of when I said someone around here was using them:)  I remember someone asking what you were using, and I snatched that link SO FAST  

I remember someone said they use shoe box type boxes as risers, as well.  You can keep extra clothes, stands (yeah right!  Who has extra stands? ) and other stuff hidden away, in them.  I might try to use some gothic type ones, if I EVER get moving on getting my room in order.

I bet Sunnie will have hers set up and finished before I even get my shelves hung (stupid husband), and she hasn't even moved in yet

I have extra stands! Most of my extras at this point are colored ones, though, and that will never do. All black stands, baby!

While I'm waiting to figure out what I'm doing with my dolls, I have used some pasta boxes as risers.. spaghetti boxes work really well!
