how to get rid of smells

i brought some baits which smell like chemicals maybe nail varnish remover its so strong that is given me a headache and i feel sick what can i use to gethe smell to go ? which one harm the plastic

Baking soda!  Stick them in a sealed bin with baking soda.

I have also used soap ...

Yes- I think that is it-

You can get a box for like .99 cents at the grocery store- I just dump a good amount in the bottom of a plastic bin and seal everyone all up hanging out on the soda for a while (I used this method for some stinky dolls from Peru)

The smell might also just fade on its own-  You could also just leave the box of baking soda- opened- in your box storing the ponies.  Lots of people do that to soak up nasty smells in their freezers and fridges.

Baking soda is a great idea!  You could also given then a really good scrub and soak in Dish Soap and try baking soda when they dry out.
