Cupid question
« on: October 16, 2012, 05:05:53 PM »
I want to wash out my Cupid's hair, but I'm afraid it will look bad. I can't style hair so I'm not sure what to do.

I have two 1600 Cupids.  The first had a major flaw so I had to buy a second.  Anyway, the first I washed out like I normally do.  I usually wash my dolls hair to make it soft and brushable.  Then I style it back to the way it looks out of the box, but without the gelled down look.  Well, I could not get Cupid's hair back into shape!  She looks alot like Sig. Cupid.

I learned my lesson.  What I did with my second Cupid was dampened her hair so that the glue didn't wash out completely, and I finger styled her hair this time.  The softened glue from the water re-hardened in the shape I made.  She still looks stock:)

Not sure how you want her to look   You could try just dampening her hair first and see how that goes.

I washed mine out, and all it did was loosen the weird curls- they still flare out, and she is still very pretty, with nothing else done to her.

Thank you everyone! I think I will wash it out, her hair never really looked right even when I bought her. If I don't like it I could just get another. I'm not apposed to having doubles.

Yeah.  Me neither.  But I've got 3 Cupids.  And I don't even like her!

Don't think I've seen a Cupid yet that didn't look amazing with washed out hair! Do it! :D You can do so much more to style it afterwards.

Heh, I don't even really like Cupid either, I like her more with painted lips and washed out hair. I didn't even plan on getting her ever, and someone was awesome and sent me her stock.

Only for a couple days later my friend to be all like: "I BOUGHT YOU A CUPIIIID!" ROFl
