Narissa, from Encantada la historia de Giselle

Soooo much stress, yet so much fun making this lovely for Okami_Amaterasu. Her first pick in the Animated Villian's Swap was Narissa, from Encantada la historia de Giselle (or Disney's Enchanted). I always like to pick the #1 pick from my partner's fav, and sadly I had no idea who Narissa was because I never saw the movie. Yay for Netflix!

She started as G3 Starcatcher and became Narissa and I'll tell you what, she is the first custom I am SUPER happy about the eyes:

Her hair is Starlight that is hand dyed black and faded to green. Her paint is different brands of acrylics sealed with matte and triple thick (for her eyes). The clothing is real fabric, a cool faux crocodile fabric for her dress painted with a colorshifting paint from purple to blue. Her boots are sculpted with Apoxie then painted, sealed and covered in fabric. Her cape is a sheer black fabric and designs are painted with fabric paint and then covered in a mix of black and gray glitter.  Her crown, I'm not too pleased with. I just couldn't get it right. I have two different gauges of wire wrapped together, then coated in silver leaf...then covered with a different silver paint and sealed with three or more coats of triple thick. She has magnets in her boots to attach her easily to her base.

Her base is a nice wood coated in a colorshifting paint as her dress, then sealed. I left the wood a bit rough as she had this little setup in the movie in a cavern area, hence the stone looking rocky ledges. They are actually made from green floral foam coated with Gesso then smushed a bit to give it some odd shaping and then dry brushed. The tree/orb holder is actually a mix of Apoxie and real recycled sticks from the Cinnamon brooms. All painted in several shades of brown and then sealed. The orb is a real Cat's Eye Orb about 4mm I think.

Now, the best line that she says in response to her lackey:
"Where, my most adored queen, where did you send her?"

"To a place where there are no happily ever afters." Then she sends her to NY.
The paper BG for her base is created from a Fairytale themed paper and the Empire State building scrapbooking sticker (which I thought fit perfectly). And her famous quote is printed on similar paper using a special font, then little glitter added.

Unfortunately, I have no photos of her special letter or anything inside. But, I'm very happy about this pony. I hope she arrived in shape!! I'm very happy you like her Okami!

I will start off by saying I usually don't care for bases.  But this pony is just jaw dropping.  And that base really works for her.  It is so detailed and so expertly done that I completely adore it.  Other than the base m favorite part has to be the crown.  You obviously worked very hard on this gal and I am so glad she arrived safely to her new home.  You always amaze me!

Why thank you very much everyone! This is my first custom since about..a year ago...and I'm running on limited supplies since I haven't worked since July. But, because I have an amazing significant other, I was able to make her and I think she came out great. I wish I could have airbrushed her though, but I have to wait until I can get a new compressor.
