Any costumer ponies about?
« on: October 02, 2012, 05:27:17 PM »
I've been hoping to find some patterns to begin sewing a Loki costume (from the Avengers) in time for Halloween, but I'm having little luck. Can anyone help?

Have you tried to look for patterns for the basic elements (jacket, cape, bodysuit, etc.)?  That's all I can think of.

Here and there. I'm debating on a cape and my boyfriend is fairly certain we can get the coat put together. I'm just looking at a draped tunic dress and putting a mini skirt with a garter belt and thigh highs underneath it. The dress is the biggest pain right now.

I can't help, but I just wanted to say I think it's awesome you're doing Loki. I am going to be Black Widow this year, so I'm a huge Avengers fan! I am putting my costume together because I can't sew or do extreme crafting, but I am making a belt buckle and some S.H.I.E.L.D. patches.

Good luck! I hope to see pictures when it's done!

Same to you! I'd love to see your Widow when you're done. My boyfriend and I are going out as Loki and the Hulk...this should be fun. ^_~ Luckily he does SCA and is going to ask to borrow his Mom's sewing machine, so that'll help tons. It's going to be the actual tunic, the helmet and the armor pieces that are gonna kill me. haha.

I would try to find some similar pieces of clothing at value village or something similar and break the patterns from that :)

I doubt you will find something exact but thats one of the thrills with creating something on your own^^

truth. I was thinking about doing that. I'm going to try to make it myself first though.
