Skull Shores Ghoulia-- I couldn't resist her cute retro hairdo and her little cover-up skirt. Before that, I'd just admired my sisters MH dolls but said I wasn't going to collect them, and then...

(Now I have three regular, plus four CAM, and I'd have more if I could find them in my area...)

My first doll was signature clawdeen, i technically still have her but <.< shes been customized or is in the process xD. clawdeen was my orignal favorite, but i fell in love with signature wave 2 clawdeens outfit and gloom beach Clawdeen DOLL as in hair, makeup. so since gloom beach was my second doll xD i sort of count it as my first "keep"

Mine was signature Draculaura. It was love at first site. I knew nothing about MH at the same. I have hated dolls for the longest time, but MH gave me a newfound appreciation for them.

I had to wait for a torso to arrive for Echo, so I would say she 'arrived' a couple weeks after that :) (first pic of Echo)

I had been stalking my local stores ever since I first heard the dolls were on their way out. I had no idea who I was going to get, but I loved the concept and the artwork Mattel had been putting out for the characters. Once they began to hit shelves, I saw a few owner photos of Signature Frankie and I was sold.

I dragged my boyfriend to every store in the area to look for the dolls, and nobody I spoke with had heard of the franchise at the time. Just as I was leaving TRU, I noticed a stack of them pushed back on a lower end cap and was able to find my doll. I remember telling my bf that I was "only getting just the one," when he asked me if I was starting a new collection, but we all know that line is total garbage when it comes to toy collecting...;)

I had Frankie for only a few days before I went back and grabbed the rest. They were only $14.99 for singles at the time, since this was before TRU decided to pull their usual tactic and jack up the price. An employee was setting up an entire display for them just as I arrived and told me they were surprised with how many people had been calling and asking about them. About a month later Monster High just exploded and that's when the mad dash to buy them from the public first began. They were hot nearly right out of the gate, I wonder if Mattel knew just what they had?

Signature/Basic Draculaura. When the dolls first came out, I thought they were cute, and originally was going to get Clawdeen first. But one look at Draculaura convinced me to get her. She's one doll I know I'll never part with, even though she doesn't have on her original outfit anymore. xD She's my all-round favorite.

My first ones were signature Operetta andwave 1 DT Draculaura. For Christmas my daughter got the Day at the Maul Frankie and after that I had been looking at the forum on here. My husband asked me if I was planning on collecting them, I told him I wasn't sure.. I'm sure he knew those wouldn't be the only two and now 70 something later he doesn't even bother keeping up lol.
