Sigh. I just -knew- this was going to happen. Now I don't know what to do. -_-

I bought a lot of blind bag ponies from one of the many Chinese sellers that have popped up on ebay lately. The blind bags were a random assortment of many different waves, including a bunch that haven't even been released yet (they're from the anticipated wave 6, I think...)

It was an impulse buy and after I made the bid I really hoped I would be outbid by someone, but unfortunately I wasn't and I ended up paying. It was $25 plus $10 shipping, so $35 altogether.

After I paid, I noticed something about the pictures in the auction. The first picture was a 'group shot' of all the blind bag figures in the lot. After that picture, there was a bunch of additional pictures that were larger shots of the ponies included, like 3 or 4 for each picture so you could see details of the figures. I noticed in one of these photos a couple of the blind bag ponies shown weren't in the 'group shot' first photo. ...Including a particularly rare blind bag figure I really wanted.

At the time I wondered if the additional photo was put in the auction by mistake because I didn't see the ponies in the 'group shot' photo, but I figured I would wait to see when the auction arrived.

Of course the box arrived today and the only ones inside are the ones in the first 'group shot', none of the ones that were in the other picture and of course, not the rare one I wanted. -_-

So now... sigh. I don't know what to do. It's going to be a hassle first of all because I bet it's going to be difficult to communicate with this seller since they're based in China, plus they do hundreds of auctions a day by the looks of it so I'm just one in a hundred.

And it seems like the one particular photo was included in the auction by mistake maybe, since the ponies weren't in the 'group shot'? I dunno if they even have those ponies around, let alone if they'd mail them to me. But I was -really- looking forward to the rare one that didn't get included. :\

Advice? Options? Am I out of luck since I didn't inquire about it before I bid? Has anyone else had to deal with these Chinese pony sellers on ebay with items not arriving as shown? I'm so disappointed but don't know if I really have the right to object at this point. :\

Could you link to the closed auction? It would help to see ther terms and the actual listing. And you never know. They might treat you well :)

No offense to Chinese sellers but I see a lot of auctions from China that have group shots but then you only get a portion of the picture or one of the items from the pictures. It can be confusing and even more confusing if the auction is in broken English.

Maybe just send them a message and tell them exactly what you said here. They can't get mad at you if the photo isn't supposed to be in the auction.

I would send them an email explaining the problem and ask them if they can provide the missing pony. They look like they care about their DSR a lot and would be willing to work with you. And it states in the auction that you should email them in English so I don't think that will be a huge problem.

This seller is fantastic, I am sure they will send it to you. I had a mix up with them a couple months ago and they were more than accomodating. I have bought from them numerous times and they have been great. Just tell them you want the pony that is in the auction picture. They will send it I am sure.

I also have dealt with this seller on several occasions and they are really nice.

It looks like it was just an oversite on their part. Because the auction title says 25 pcs. and they clearly show you those two in the first photo, along with the added close-up of them.

Like others have mentioned, a polite email stating you were missing those will probably help resolve the issue.

Boy with all those beautiful ponies swirling around I felt very confused on what exactly I would be getting from them.  I agree though based on how their auction is set up they seem to really look like good sellers.

I think this is a perfect example of why you shouldn't buy from China :(

Thanks for posting the auction - I think everything should be fine   the seller seems good, and I dont think you'll have any trouble communicating with this one, so hopefully you'll be able to resolve things easily enough  - especially  when other people here have bought from them before and have had good experiences  :)

Well it has been resolved but not happily. But I guess I will accept it because it truly does seem like she made an honest mistake. This is the email I got when I told her the ponies in one of the photos did not arrive:

thanks your help .
i have see the picture ,
the item you have received is right ,
the title said have 25 pcs .
and the item the same as the fist picture .
i sorry that i have a mistake about that picture .let you have confused .
sorry that

I will still leave her positive feedback because, while it did take her a while to get back to me, she was polite and it seems the most honest thing to do.
