MH Pricing
« on: September 03, 2012, 10:36:24 AM »
I apologize if this thread is silly but I am totally in the dark about MH values and was curious (I also have some fashion to sell but have no idea how to price).

I try to follow the trends but I have no idea how much any of the dolls, fashions, etc actually go for. Are the ebay prices accurate? ($250 for SDCC Frankie??) Do MIB dolls go for much more than loose?

Is there a reliable source for pricing?  Or a general rule of thumb? (Like everyone is $30 except for...?)

Thanks for all your help. :D

Not silly at all! The prices on dolls generally vary since some tend to be more popular than others, some haven't been around in stores for a while and some haven't had a re-release (yet?) such as wave 1 Ghoulia and Lagoona so they are a little pricier at the moment, same with some of the guys like Gil, Deuce and Holt. SDCC dolls seem to go for their current eBay prices though on here I've seen sellers marking them down a bit on the arena so the prices are a bit more fair for fellow collectors. In order to give you accurate overall pricings, we'd definitely need to know what you've got. :)
As for fashions, you could do something simular to what Toffeeca did on the sales forum and mark skirts for $X ea, tops for $X and put a minimum amount for a purchase so you're not going to the post office for a single $2 skirt for 6 different people.

Thank you Chi, I'm starting to get a sense of the pricing now. I really only have wave 1 mip fashions to sell, the rest was more curiosity. I have most of the first wave dolls mip so I wasmore curious. I didn't think sdcc frankie went for that much lol. I have one mip I got for $20 back from Justice

If the dolls are MIB then yeah, they'll definitely be priced higher than ones out of the box. Not sure about the fashions, though. Depends on if they're ones that are still available or not. :P
Also, wow.. o___o Lucky you! /grabby hands at Frankie ;n;

I agree with what Chi said. MIB does go higher, then the dolls complete with everything including journals, then the dolls that are missing accessories or aren't 100% complete. Some of the dolls that are harder to find right now are actually selling at ebay prices outside of ebay because of the difficulty getting them. And for clothing, like Chi also said sometimes just pricing tops and bottoms and accessories etc all at a seperate price may be easiest. Otherwise you could always set a price for the outfit as a whole too.

I am looking for quite a few things I am looking for right now, especially Ghoulias comic book club fashion pack (complete) as well as some dolls. Everything I am looking for is in my wishlist, (especially wave 1 Lagoona and Clawdeen). If you're interested in selling anything drop me a PM :)

Sometimes i see them go higher on Ebay then what they are priced at in my local store. Pretty... odd.

Thanks for your input guys. :)

I don't trust ebay prices for current dolls, it was more like wave one dolls I was curious about lol ;p

Only thing I will be putting up for sale soon is Frankies Fearleading outfit mib but I can't find pricing anywhere lol

Ahhh, I'd love to buy it if you figure out a price!
The lowest price I see for it on eBay is 11.99.

The wave 1 dolls I would go loosely off what ebay has them priced as. As Chi said, a lot of members on the arena go a little cheaper then that for other members. Now on the other hand, I was looking at listings for signature Lagoona and Clawdeen and saw them MIB for $100+, which to me seemed a little overpriced. People were bidding on them so I think it mainly comes down to what people are willing to pay for something they want. Like right now, I am desperate to have a complete Dawn of the Dance Draculaura and as much as I hate to use ebay, I am becoming more and more tempted to pay however much to just get her. So I would say it depends on how badly the item is desired.
Clothing prices I am really useless with most of the time so I hope somebody more knowlegable can let you know that!
