Show me:ponies with braids

I'm thinking of braiding Valenshy's hair, and if you guys don't mind, I'd like to see some braided ponies to give me some ideas. Do I go with bigger braids? Thin and tight? Loose? Please, show me all kinds of braids on your ponies!

Just for you, I took a picture of Applejack's mane. She's got a loose (quick, imperfect) french braid right now. This is not a good picture of it, but I only have my cell phone camera at the moment.

She does have a tail, she just... left it in the spa area for some extra TLC.

This is all I happened to have in my photobucket and she wasn't even the main focus of the original picture so I cropped it. Sorry I don't have a better picture. The front portion of her mane goes across her back and circles around so it ends in the center of her chest. The back portion is just one big braid.

I don't have pics but I like to do one small braid in the middle and leave the rest loose and straight :) I think it looks cool.

@ breyer600:  How do you do those two-strand braids? :blink:  I'm thinking not only for ponies, but my own hair - looks lovely! ^.^

@ NoPonySpecial:  I only have one to add to the mix, my Sweet Stuff.  I braided her mane up one sleepless night; all I had to tie it off was embroidery floss, so it's kinda rough.  But I like it, and I want to do her tail the next time I'm up all night. ^.^

@ Sugar.Lightning: I used a tutorial on rope braids that I think I found through the Arena a couple of years ago now.  Let me see if I can find it again for you.
