They put spray in her hair so it keeps its shape but she looks so much better with it washed out. It retains the shape but gains soft, fluffy volume!

I voted open too so glad to hear you took the plunge! I never feel I can appreciate a toy to it's fullest if I don't open it- SS Frankie is an affordable doll too so you could always buy another one to display in the box. And at least you can sort out her helmet hair now she's out of the box  :)

My heart skipped a beat when I read my nickname in the original post.
I'm sorry for replying so late, I didn't see this thread before!

I would've deboxed her too and bought another to keep MIB.. xD

Sorry again for being so slow! Care to show some pictures of your Frankie? I always find her an adorable version!

Not sure but in England she is £10 and that's cheap for MH dolls..... most are £22.99 or £16.99 :faint:

hey party pony!!

you will have fun playing with her out of the box.     you can always display her by the box. i think that would look cute :)

Tiffoes, I was gonna say the same thing until I read on and learnt that it was a special feature on this forum!!! This is so funny! :-)

If we are talking Skull Shores, debox for sure.

If we are talking SDCC Frankie I would be more inclined to keep her in the box. But if you have no plans for selling her in the near future (you never know what prices will be like 10 years from now lol) I'd debox her if you like. What I do sometimes is take the doll carefully out of the box, leaving the rest in tact so that when I am done with her I can carefully place her back (not to be considered MIB of course) just to display and keep away dust.

I was gonna vote for "debox" and am glad that you've already deboxed your b/w frankie :-)

I didn't realise that there are actually two versions of the b/w Frankie. After a search on Flickr, I have to say the SDCC Frankie looks special but I'd still prefer the SS one because of her short hair that makes her kind of more special and lively, PLUS she's wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy cheapper and hence a lot more affordable to an "average" collector like me
