Yesterday I got hold of an Italian Bow Tie. Today, as I was giving her a little cleaning, I noticed something very concerning.

On her bottom, right above her tail-hole, I noticed a yellowish spot in the shape of a comb/hair clip.

Here's the photo of it:

Not sure if you'll be able to see it... sorry for the crap quality: the batteries on my camera died and I haven't got enough time to buy some new ones... :P

Anyway, from the look of it I think they may be "saddle sores"... so, what do you do with them?

I'd be more than eager to sunfade her, but I heard that blue ponies are difficult to sunfade. :(

I'd appreciate any help/word of advice... Bow Tie's been on my "wishlist" for a long time, and now that I've gotten this cutie I'd love to keep her in the best shape possible.

Thanks in advance!

It would appear your pony had a hair clip attached to her tail at one point and it has discolored the Body Materials.
There is no way to get rid of these sorts of marks.  Shoes left on feet do the same thing, some ponies can be sun faded but I don't think I would try that with Italy Bowtie.

yeah I was gonna say the same thing - best to find a way to paint that color back in = I used water color pencils that I blended the pigments back into mine = my own accident admittedly putting zit cream onto a blue pony (duh - do not use a whitener to remove marks on a colored pony else ya get bleached effect)

Of course, it's not noticeable on a shelf... maybe just dazzle with a bow in the meantime?

it looks like discolouration rather than ink marks of any sorts :( you could try sunfading her, but make sure you wrap her up like a mummy with only the marks showing.

Hey there! Sorry for the belated reply...

Thanks so much for the comments guys. It's a sad thing that this can't be completely removed... :(

Good thing that it isn't that noticeable unless you're looking down at her. I'm currently having an eye on a another Italian Bow Tie, which appears to be in good enough condition to serve as a replacement, and I'll try to win her. But until that happens I'll enjoy having the girl that's currently in my possesion. :)
