Squeaky Butt ponies! :)

Today my squeaky butt Tootsie from Venezuela arrived and I love her A perfect addition to my Tootsie army, whether or not she is real!

However, she really whiffs! Not in a bad way, but kind of like an overpowering potpourri scent. Do all the squeaky butt ponies smell like that, or is she just weird?

I guess I don't know what all squeaky butt ponies smell like (or what any of them smell like)

but I buy a lot of dolls and ponies from Peru and they often are quite stinky with mildew smell requiring much washing with mixed resultse (the stinkiest I store in a container with soap and baking soda to absorb).  Often it is an issue inside the doll or pony- so then need to be taken apart.  The odor is not always associated with much if any staining.

I am wondering if the seller may have added a scent to your pony to disguise a possibly less nice smell?

I have had a few of them and none of them smelled like anything but plastic so they probably added that special touch

ooooh! Congrats on adding her to your collection...maybe its like the wax smell from Brazil or vanilla from greece - its a part of the plastic which actually smells?

The one I got is still in her packaging, so unless that all got wet, I wouldn't expect it to be mildew, but you could well be right that the seller added it for whatever reason, or it could be the envelope, as that's quite strongly scented as well!

My Peru ponies always smell of wax crayons but to the nth degree, so at least it's better than that!

Someone had a Shy Pose squeaky butt pony at the VA meet, and it was so adorable! I was totally jealous. Can't wait to see the Tootsie pose!
