One thing to remember is that in the UK, if an item is valued at £46 or less, *as long as you have your PO receipt*, you can claim the monies back from the PO if the parcel goes missing So unless its a very valuable lot/pony etc then first class is safe for UK sellers, even on international items (which is standard Airmail , small packet ) Actual shipping prices vary a lot depending on weight and destination.Adding tracking to an international parcel will cost an extra £5.15 on top of the airmail cost. the service is called "International siged for" Airmail (you can also add extra insurance for up to £500 for another £2.60). Or you can choose "Airsure" (prices start @ £5.00/£7.60 with extra compensation) from certain PO's. Its supposed to be faster.... There should be a 2012 price guide available from your local PO or you can go on Royal mail's website to work out prices before shipping. Dont send anything over 2kg overseas in one big box - if you are sending a big pony lot to an international buyer it is much cheaper to send it in 2 boxes, since anything over 2kg cannot be sent via Royal Mail, they will send it by Parcel Force and the prices go crazy high! Hope that helps a bit
