Question about Spanish Dancing Butterflies
« on: June 30, 2012, 08:36:11 PM »
I usually stay away from Nirvanas because they are often so out of my price range, and for the longest time I wouldn't even let myself look at them because I knew I would be tempted. Of course, I caved and looked through a few pictures just to see what kind of variety they had.

I told myself I wouldn't do it, but I fell in love with Spanish Dancing Butterflies. Seeing her in the Surprise pose just stole my heart away.

At this time, I have no plans to buy her, but my curiosity is whetted.

About how much does she cost? Is she one of the super rare ones? As of yet I really don't have any intention of buying her, but I still really want to know because if she does turn out to be affordable, I might look into her... might.

Also, it's my understanding that she's almost exactly the same as the Brazillian Dancing Butterflies, just without the butterfly on the forehead? Is that one generally more or less?

The last one on ebay sold for $98.08 and she was in rough shape,

for a nice minty one that is complete they can sell for about $255.00

SDB is a gorgeous pony, I hope you are able to get one in the future :satisfied:

Oh my goodness! $200+ is quite a bit more than what I'm able to afford, but I'm still perfectly content in mooning at her pictures! :D

Maybe someday though.

Thanks so much for the help, lovey!

Also, you have a Spain one and a No country one. There is hardly any difference... I think her body is harder than the Brazilian one although I don't own the Brazilian version so I'm not sure about that. And I agree with Angelponies and her prices!

I just saw a pic of a white Spanish Dancing Butterflies after a Google search. Is she faded or a variant?

I can't post a link as it was at a competing forum.

I haven't seem the pic, but I am pretty sure it would be either fading or odd lighting ;)

You could also have a reproduction made by a custom artist :)  Isabella Klein made me a Spanish Dancing Butterflies that is lovely and very like the real thing.  I'll try and post pics later today!

Oh okay. I'm always very cautious because I don't want to break the rules. ;) Thanks!

I didn't see any of the pink, even on the symbol.

Looking at it, she seems a washed out yellow to me, so I think it's just the light i a bit odd.
