This is the initial message I received last week:

I will buy this little letter for 1.99 total with free shipping. Let me know and I will do buy it now and request invice for you to change shipping to free shipping, thanks

I sent:

Hi,
Thanks for your interest, however I will have to decline. Shipping it's self is $1.70.

They replied with:

2.50 total? I bought the whole teapot for 2 dollars so it's hard to pay 2.50 for the tiny letter, you can ship it the cheapest way possible. Thanks


It was for a ponyville part. I understand their position, but I can only ship first class as that is the only was to get delivery confirmation. the price was $1.99 with $2.25 shipping. not to mention all the fees! I never responded and it seemed like they went away, until this morning.

They sent:

Hi,
Sorry for the delay to reply we were out of town. I will do buy it now for 1.99, now and then request invoice for you to change shipping to 1.70 like you stated in previous email, that will be fine, thank you I will pay right away. Thank you

and then:

Hi, I will buy both of these mail pieces now and ship together in same small envelope for 1.70. Please adjust shipping for a total fee of 3.98 plus 1.70 for shipping for a total due $5.68.

Needless to say, they bought two items. I NEVER SAID I'D LOWER THE SHIPPING FOR THEM.

Here is what I just sent:

Hi,
I appriciate your interest, I really do, however I cannot change my shipping or sale price. The $1.70 covers only the shipping cost to send it out. My stated $2.25 includes the cost of supplies, handling and shipping.

Let me know if you'd like to cancel.

I just know they are going to ding my stars or leave bad feedback. Ug. I'm beyond disgusted with Ebay atm.

This is why when someone starts getting weird I block them immediately. The first question was weird. Not because she asked but because she ordered you to do so. I've had lots of people make offers on items that didn't have "make an offer" but this lady was pushy from the very beginning.

Don't feel bad about blocking and have your settings on so that they can still send you messages even though they are blocked. That way they won't know unless they try to buy an item.

Yes, I know! I was thinking just yesterday that I probably should block them, but I hadn't heard anything from them, so I thought they's went away. I'm kicking myself now. Ug.

It's not worth responding to bad offer on ebay. 
I've had the same thing happen and my policy is to block them.
I don't know why but you can't get through to some people, they read and hear only what they want to.

Yeah, that had block all over it from the get go.  I almost thought there was a language barrier but I see he is from the US.

I think though he misunderstood when you said it costs you $1.70 to ship.  He did not take into account that you charge a handling fee. And since you didn't mention it in your email, he took it as you were going to charge him a $1.70

*sigh* If it were me I would chalk it up as a loss at this point and just ship it for that since that price was mentioned in your email.  It's not worth a neg. or neutral over $3.98 in my opinion.

Ugh!  *hate pushy buyers*      definitely a good candidate for the "blocked" list. I hope they agree to cancel the transaction. This could be all kinds of trouble   . However since it is for a small amount it really depends on if you wanna risk the feedback...  In future block any crazies before it gets to this stage. I hope things turn out ok and I'm sorry you're having to deal with this person

Well, here is the latest message:

If you could cancel order and when the two houses come in the mail I will see what I am missing and then place an order with you. I purchased yesterday the teapot palace and balloon house and have been looking at pictures trying to figure out what is missing. So she wants me to cancel, wait until she gets her items then repurchase? No thanks. I sent the cancellation and she accepted then blocked. Really, ugh.

lol, what a ridiculous response. Canceling gets her out of your hair faster but too bad she doesn't have anything on her record for not paying. Although I would have done exactly what you did and gotten her out of your hair.

I just hope she doesn't see that you blocked her and come back and try to leave a neg for the canceled auctions. That would be very lame.

Yeah. Actually I ignored her for three days, but she sent three emails of the same I just posted, so I just sent the cancelations to get rid of her. I really hope she goes away.

She never paid so, I believe Ebay would remove the neg if she left one.
