Because adding ponies previously unreleased in that market to a box with ponies which have been released makes people buy a large more expensive sets Unfortunately HB are a commercial company and its whatever makes financial sense for them.

Yikes! I wanted this set when I first saw it but at that price, no way. However, Christmas is not to far away, maybe I will get it then. As far as the blind bag wave 2 I did not know they where so rarer than other waves. Lucky I spent the money and got a whole internation set last Christmas.
