Yup! I'm considering getting a Tribal Phoenix tattoo on the back of one of my shoulders. Still debating what kind of pose to get it done in though, so many decisions

Back of the shoulders is a great place for tattoos. Just remember that any straps you wear will partially cover the design and, of course, you won't be able to see it unless you contort in the mirror. My second tattoo was done on my upper back, in the middle. I had to have someone else do the aftercare for me and I need two mirrors to see it, like when you get your hair cut and need to see the back.

Pose is hard. Have you done any Google searches to see what's out there? I just Googled "Phoenix Tribal Tattoo" and got a ton of great results. Might help you decide which pose you like best.

No worries, you'll be able to decide someday. I waited for ... 6 years to find the right piece for my chest. I have wanted a chest piece since I was 18 and first got into tattoos, but nothing felt right. I finally found it, but these kinds of things will always pop up in the strangest places. 

I'd be very interested to see what you decide on and what it looks like when it's all finished.

It kind of sounds worse than what it was. It's true I wanted a chest piece all that time, but I didn't dedicate all my thought to it. It keeps one sane to not over-think it. I figured I'd know it when I saw it. Well, earlier this year money got better and I really started to think on it more. I was planning it all out and I came up with some really awful ideas, all of which floundered fairly quickly. I found this piece while reading my favorite webcomic. I wasn't even thinking about my chest piece, I was just giddy over my favorite webcomic updating and as soon I opened the page I knew I had found it.

You're much further along the decision path than I was earlier this year. Ha! All I knew was that I wanted a chest piece. I had no idea what I wanted it to be. I'm very excited to see what you come up with! I'm sure your tattoo will be beautiful.

Haha! Seems like your web comic was the inspiration <3. But yeah, it takes a while to think up ideas, so you will be on and off with thinking, until something just strikes and you're like 'that's the one!'

Hehe, now all I need is just gather some money so I can eventually get my tattoo <3 And aww shucks! I'm sure the phoenix I'm getting appreciates that compliment as well !
