Apple (the fruit) recall

ughh I never eat apples yet in the last week I've had a few..  I'll be skipping apples for a while.

It stinks because its the 'healthy option' for their kids meals.  So all these poor kids may have been exposed.  I really hope no one actually gets sick, but I am such a nut about recalls.

off topic a bit but my brother always complains that the apples in the kids meal's taste like soap..
I have to agree and I can't say soap is that healthy for kids to consume.

*cuddles* Only certain batches/states were effected by the recall.  But do keep an eye on him.  I would hope they have already pulled all of the potentially tainted apples by now.  So you guys should be fine.

That's crazy, he's fine but I'm not taking chances lol. He loves those too, I used to get them for his school lunches. Bah thanks for sting about it though.

I never understood who people enjoyed the apples from fast food places. They always tasted like they were infused with soap to me. If I see anyone eating them I'll be sure to tell them this.

It's not even an "option" anymore. They replaced the majority of the fries with those little apple bags.

They put calcium ascorbate and ascorbic acid on the apples to keep them from browning. Its naturally found in lemon juice but you don't want to know how they make the stuff they use in processed foods today. Lemon juice would be a lot more natural and healthier.
