Can I See... hairstyles?

I'm almost done with one of the best customs I've ever made, and this last home stretch is proving to be a real thinker...
I can't decide how to style my pony's hair! I've seen some beautiful styling out there, but pretty much everything that I'd want to try out myself involves the little sewing push pins with the balls on the top, and I have but 1 of those.
So I was wondering if I could see some of your hairstyles on ponies, dolls, yourself, any suggestions you may want to make! My pony's hair can be whatever length I want it to be, since I haven't cut it yet, so I'm open to anything to tame these very luscious ringlets (which is part of the reason I MUST style this girl instead of leaving it down...because this hair is everywhere.)

I tend to leave my ponies hair down, since it's more natural and you get to see more of the colors.

I love that twisted hairstyle as it looks complicated but real easy - just twisting the hair and then pinning

Nope.  It's just short enough and braided tightly enough that they stick up
