It also is making me wanna throw very sharp objects at Mattel because I hate the knees on my Robecca but I HATE this release. She needs bangs! At least I know I'll make one purchase from this line (maybe two if I happen upon Operetta).. I really gotta go and get stuff to make my own stands.. xD

I'm also a review junkie and this is a great. Thank you for taking the time to put it together and share with us saply, I'd love to see more from you in the future. Your quips on each character cracked me up and the photos really showcase the dolls well. 

Interesting that they've "fixed" the knees on Robecca. Intentional on Mattel's part or not, that was something that kind of aggravated me about her signature release.

I definitely want Howleen. I'll grab her as soon as she shows up in the stores. I can't bring myself to order online, though. I'm too afraid with my luck I'll end up with one with a horrible faceup. I'll have to find her another outfit, though. I hate the PJs she comes with.

I thought I wanted Lagoona, but I'm not liking the yellow hair, plus she seems darker overall somehow. I don't know if it's just because of the outfit, or if it's the makeup or something else entirely, but I just don't like her. I thought she looked great in the promo pic, so I'm guessing something about her changed between the promo and the actual release version, I just can't figure out what exactly. I really want a Lagoona, but I guess I'll just wait and try to get a Classroom Lagoona on Black Friday.

Oh, I forgot! No, the new Robecca does NOT have the backwards-bending knees ^_^

That's interesting. I wonder why they did that. If I get a Robecca, I might have to get both and swap their heads so I can have a signature doll without double-jointed knees. I think I prefer the signature doll to the dance class one. I think so but now I'm not 100% sure.

I wanted to add one small detail- Howleen's hands are a more squishy plastic than her earlier release....  minor detail but one I appreciate.  I have mine with her pig tails poofed out and while they have body, they aren't ridiculously frizzed out, her hair is nice and soft still.  I love her, but could not wait to redress the poor girl.

Yeah, my original release Howleen's hands are a hard plastic...seems to be little rhyme or reason to what hands are like that.

Thank you so much for the review, Saply! Funny, informative, and with awesome and helpful pictures.

I like how this whole line (excepting Howleen's sewn-on pants) could easily be re-envisioned as yet more bathing suited girls, and better than some of the standard bathing suits we've gotten before at that!

The only one I'm really disappointed in is Lala, I was hoping her ballet shoe laces would be tentacles, but alas, it's some sort of plant motif. I also expected more of a fluffy tutu type thing than this single-layer tulle cover-up she's got. And her dress doesn't even have the tentacley bits it has in the box art! Sad face. On the other hand, apparently I'm alone in prefering Lala with the more golden blonde of her signature release to the pale cornsilk of say, Mad Science, and darker or thicker blue streaks are love, so at least there's that.

I wasn't really expecting much from anyone else, so I'm neither wowed nor particularly excited. Except for Howleen's pink pigtails, of course, which are perfect! I love them. And everyone has at least one nice detail to recommend them, which is good, since I'll probably buy them all eventually regardless. I'm happy about an Opry with her hair naturally down, and I adore Robecca's tiny top hat.
