Success! I just got back from Target and I got one of each of the plushies for myself, plus another for a friend and one of each of the 3 character packs. The guy that got them from the back for me, said he checked multiple times, but the trading cards weren't coming up for him, even though the site claims they're in stock. Oh, well, I'll just get them next weekend.

The plushies are absolutely adorable! They're smaller than I was expecting, but they're so soft! And after seeing the tags on them, I know why they were never leaked on Taobao. They were made in Vietnam, not China like all Hasbro stuff. That's because these aren't Hasbro plush, they're actually made by a company called Funrise Toy Corp. That also explains why these look better than the plush Hasbro has made in the past.

I'm slightly disappointed with the quality of the 3 character packs, though. For $8 a set, I expect better quality. After all, that makes these sets more expensive than the single blind bags.

The Apple Family Set is probably in the best condition.Granny Smith has a big green spot at the base of her bun where they didn't paint it all the way. Luckily, that will be a fairly easy fix with some white paint. AJ and Big Mac look good, but I have both so those will go in my trade box.

The Pony Wedding Set definitely has some issues. Cadence has a purple spot on her nose and Twilight's paint job is just generally sloppy, though, not much worse than the standard blind bags. Shining Armor has the most issues in the set. He has dirt spots all over, three small black (possibly paint) spots on the display side of his face and he has a big chunk of what looks like dried up glue in the middle of his body, also on the display side. Also, they painted his horn blue about a third of the way up. Hopefully I'll be able to remove all the problem spots.

The Cloudsdale Set isn't too bad. Gilda looks fantastic. The paint's perfect and there's not one stray mark on her. Dashie on the other hand has black marks (might be dirt?) on both front legs on the NDS and she's missing a spot of paint in the middle of her hair, also on the NDS. The Wonderbolt pony has a yellow spot of paint on her neck, uneven paint on her wings, blue paint spots on the frames of her goggles and what looks to be excess glue around her tail. Luckily all of her problems are only on the NDS so it's not that bad.

Yeah, I was definitely surprised, but we've seen Hasbro license out their stuff before, like with the crystal keychains, Dollymix ponies and more recently, the trading cards. I just found it amusing that everyone was saying how much better these were than previous attempts, and once I saw the tags on them, it made sense why. I went on Funrise's site, but there's nothing about them on there. Though, they do list the stuff they make, among them is Baby Alive.

My target, as well as toysrus and walmart, are still trying to get rid of the canterlot line....

My Target still had only Clearance items out, but I just found a guy who was doing some stocking in the seasonal section which has all the school supplies out now (he had the little scanner they need to look up the items by the DCPI number) and asked him to look up the items and he went in the back and got them for me. I found that male workers are more willing to go in the back and look for items than females. I have no idea why.
