It's an ad from one of the old MLP comics!  Once in a while they had Fairy Tails comics too.

Sure, save away!  I periodically scan comics for my Tumblr, I will post Fairy Tails scans if I come across any.  (Right now I mostly have the segments with Glo Friends and Potato Head Kids, which are just . . . kind of weird.  When they do draw Fairy Tails, they have the most loooovely hair.)

Sadly no, although I would love to have the nightlight I must make due with Twilight Tails staring at me from the comic page.

Oh dear xD I think this would likely PREVENT sleep for me.

I wonder if it was ever actually put into production or if there was just this ad. Sometimes if not enough interest is generated in a product from the retailers, the company just never ends up making it. I'm assuming this was the case since there was only a drawing of TT, and not a picture of the finished product. I'd sure like to see it if it was made though. Seems like a Euro product since it's called a "bedside torch" and not a "night light".

Maybe not, maybe they had production issues.  But man if it is real I so need one now.

okay.
until just recently I haven't heard about these birdies, I have only come across them a short while ago, and I immediately fell in love with them, especially with their eyes. I have never seen one in person, but from now on I'll be looking for them, I'd love to have a little collection of them, I simply fell in love with their super cute eyes.

but.

OMG, this one is indeed scary! and those evil eyes! thankfully I'm not going to sleep for a couple more hours (it's not that late here yet), and I might forget this drawing until I head to bed

and it's not only the birdy, but the child too... come on, how can a drawing like this make it to the press and for sale? and how can they think it looks good and children will actually fall in love with it instead of freaking out?
