Sun fading Barnacle, did the thread disapear?

I am SURE I saw one on sun fading him. Well, today I got my Barnacle in the mail and...ugh...turns out major pen markings are why he's so cheap. WAS there a thread recently? If not, can THIS be a thread on how to remove stains from more Barnacle ^_^;;

You can't use the "Search" tool to search the archived Arena yet, but I think the mods are working on it.

Yup...this is the best way to search the old Arena at the moment.

I think the thread about Barnacle was a general question about fading coloured ponies...I dont believe the person had actually started it yet.

He's now sunning on the porch. I popped him open so I could get at any rust and fade his ears while doing the bottoms of his hooves. I put him up high and taped his head to the side of his body though. That should keep any neigborhood cats from making off with it.

I saw the sun fading tutorials but I asked specifically about him because I was worried that it might damage the blue. There doesn't seem to be much info about fading him one way or the other Hopefully he'll be fine.

Personally I do worry about the colour in the plastic fading - as with overexposure that will happen no matter the colour of pony - but enough people seem to have success as long as ponies have limited and controlled exposure so I would think as long as you dont leave him for an extended period and do check him regularly he will hopefully be fine.

Actually I'm sunfading my Barnacle at the moment. He's turned so off-blue, that I decided to give sunfading a shot. Basically that can't turn any worse, I think.
