So this past week I decided to go and buy a baity Baby Flicker from one of the sites I often check for Ponies. Dizzy me forgot to ask the person about if the DnW Mechanism still worked (to be honest I wasn't worried about it so much), so now I have no idea if the mechanism is worth trying to salvage or not.. I'm not even sure how to test it.

Other than that, the poor baby is pretty dirty, has a hair cut, and I suspect possibly rust on the inside... also found out that the til washer is not longer in the pony (if there was even one at all) and that I can just yank out the tail without a problem). I know she hasn't been beheaded because the neck glue is still intact... So being this is my first DnW pony I need a bit of help if you will...

Anyone have ideas on how I can test if the mechanism still works (I don't even know how it works in the first place) and if not is it possible to replace it? If it does can it be salvaged and take the pony apart without ruining it?

Presuming drink and wet ponies are like the drink and wet Kelly doll I had as a child, you would get an eyedropper, fill it with water, squirt it in the ponies little open mouth (You might need to put in quite a lot depending on how large of a reservoir she's got inside her), and then you give her a squeeze and hope it comes back out (And out of the correct end XD).

I'm afraid I've never owned a drink in wet so I can offer nothing but my speculation ^^;

Edit: After watching the Drink n Wet commercial on YouTube, it appears you can skip the squeezing step. The pony is apparently supposed to wet itself somehow.

Lol I think when you give her too much she is supposed to wet, I jut tested it with a syringe and apparently she can't hold much water XD Now all I need to know is how to remove that part safely so it still works..

Good luck with that! I once tried to get the hair-growing mechanism out of a Brush n Grow Pony... I had to give up on that one.

Though actually, if she wets quickly, there may just be a tube in her leading from her mouth to her posterior, which would probably be easy to get out. If you were to boil her, it would soften her glue and you could attempt to take off her head to see what's inside?

A quick Google brought me to this, so it is apparently just a tube, but risky to remove. If it is only a tube, though, I can't imagine it would be hard to replace if you broke it.

Edit: Found this thread, to.

Gravity does the work for you, put water in mouth...
I've ripped one apart, if you're careful you can get the head off and clean up without pulling the tube apart from the face or rump (warning! very little wiggle room for this!).

You've got a re-root on your hands. The only thing is the tube gets in your way when you try to pull out the hair from the head. You can fanagle the tube back into place, but I doubt that they are still water tight.

this was my poor gal:

Does she dnw still?  Frankly I wouldn't have her drink or wet I don't want her to rust out or get moldy in the future. I had her tube completely pulled out:o)

If you want inside pictures let me know.

Lol, mine seems to still DnW, however I doubt she will rust ones I re-hair her and sealing the tube back might not be that hard... this coming from someone who completely destroyed a BnG's mechanism and 2 G2 Magic Motion Mechanisms XD

Y eah it's just a tube.  I had to put a tube back--it's not too difficult.  You put a small Philips screwdriver, or something else small enough to fit, in her mouth, and guide the tube that way while you're putting her head back on.  LOL

Yes, its possible but finicky to work with - just a simply tube from mouth to tail. Good luck - the threads linked to and Cubbys advise should hopefully help! Just be super delicate I would suggest.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
