I've had this issue the last can or two I've bought. The solution is to shake the heck out of it longer than you normally would and spray in quick bursts and shake between every couple bursts. Something is going on with the stuff. Then let the dull coat sit for about 3 days and keep water off it. For some reason the stuff isn't holding. I plan on contacting customer support about the issue. I wonder if its a bad batch?

I've been doing some research and it looks as if they've recently changed the formula? Something about removing or altering the levels of toluene in the formula to comply with EU standards? There are some people on the model painting forums who are having the same problems. :c

Are you using a new can, Maniah? It would be the one that says "Spray Lacquer" on it and just has "Dullcote" by the bar code. The one I sprayed down with the Mod Podge spray still seems to feel nice and dry today, so that might have fixed it. n_n

That's the can I have, and I haven't had any problems.  8-|

I did just try the spray Mod Podge on an FBR and had the sticky issue with the head of the pony that I used it on.  But I noticed it when I picked her up to rehair, so I went over the whole pony with a layer of paint-on Mod Podge before I actually rehaired her.

I have found with the new formula - you have to shake almost 2-3 times as much as the previous formula - I had this problem at first and figured out that them reducing the amount of Tuolene does make it mix differently in the can. You may also notice that if you don't shake it enough it is not a dull as before.

Thanks for the heads-up! I should just carry it in my pocket like a pedometer for a couple days XD
