Which is the scariest movie you ever saw???
« on: July 15, 2012, 02:14:05 PM »
Am I the only one who wants to watch scary horror movies, then feeling sorry about wanting to do that? I've watched lots of horror movies (like ,,Messengers 2'') and lots of TV shows (like ,,A haunting'')
I know, there are 4-5 months till Halloween to talk about spooky stuff, but I'm just curious :lookround:

But the scariest movie I've ever saw was ,,The ring''.Especially the tape part with Samara  :scared: I'm still scared when I see her face!  :lmao:

Share about scary movies! :)

Don't Look Now starring Donald Sutherland - it was out in about 76/77 I think. I think I must have watched this movie too young - it probably isnt at all that scary but it seriously sends shivers down my spine when I watch it. Little children in scary movies scare the life out of me...as do a lot of 70s scary films - this is the best period for these films in my own opinion! visitors can't see pics , please register or login

My favorite genre is horror :) I appreciate creepy things and like it when they are actually creepy (which isn't often, imo).

The only movie that ever scared me though was Fire in the Sky. I was about 11 when it was made and as a kid I was obsessed with aliens for a while. Since Fire in the Sky was based on the real Travis Walton case just made it even scarier for me. I couldn't sleep in my own room for weeks. I was terrified of being abducted :P

I LOVE watching scary movies! I especially like it if there is a ton of gore and blood.. I like those scenes because of the special effects used in creating them, sooo badass!

When I was a teenager I used to watch scary movies and then go take a bath in the dark with all the doors unlocked just to add to the scary factor.. haha XD

Unfortunately though I think I've desensitized myself to scary movies, I can't think of any that really scare me. :(

I have a similar problem. It's like I'm too curious for my own good! I think Poltergeist was the scariest movie I've seen so far.

I've never really been scared by any horror movie!  Weird, eh?  I guess the psychological stuff gets me more than anything supernatural.

i LOVE scary movies, thrive on them as a matter of fact ... really the only movie that gets to me and i have to watch with all doors lockedd and all the lights on in the middle of the day (like it'll help lol) is Alien, the ORIGIANL Alien ...

though my friends get a kick out of when during ANYTHING we're watching something goes near someone's eyes ... i ALWAYS jump and cringe and squirm ... CAN'T stand it!

and roseprincess1, funny you should mention event horizon ... my Taeyang doll Horizon is named Even T Horizon because i was watching it as i unboxed him! lmao LOVE that movie ... lol
"Doth mother know you weareth her drapes?"

Taeyang and MLP are my drugs of choice ... that and the mountain dew flowing through my veins ... LIKE RADIOACTIVE RUBBER PANTS!

I love horror/gore films. I have been entranced by them ever since I was young, but I'm not usually all that scared of them. Even as a youngster, I am generally more engrossed than scared. Hubbs says the scariest movie he ever saw was Event Horizon, but said it was not as scary during his second viewing as an adult.

Silent Hill is the only movie that has gotten to me in my adult life of watching horror flicks. I have a thing about ambiance and that film had it all over the place. It creeped me out, big time.

I get most of my scares from video games. Fatal Frame freaked me out, Bioshock freaked me out (2 wasn't as scary) and right now hubbs is playing through Alan Wake, which also freaks me out. I find that games are more interested in setting up that creepy ambiance that shatters my nerves and makes me truly frightened, but the Silent Hill movie pulled it off for me and I was thoroughly frightened by it.

Also, Child's Play. An aunt of mine let me watch it when I was a young child and it was easily the scariest horror movie I ever saw as a child. It didn't help that I had this super-creepy stuffed clown, who I wanted to burn after I saw that film because I was sure he was going to come alive and murder me. LOL!
