WIP - Queen Chrysalis

I'm honestly not doing much more than others have done to her.. But here is my WIP.

Here she is with the other ponies I am sculpting at the same time. Ignore them! lol. I couldn't decide if I wanted to just glue her ears on upside down, or resculpt them. I drilled her holes with a dremmel and with a regular drill. Lost of sanding still left her fuzzy though.

I had to add height to her rear leg because she was leaning heavily to the side. Now she stands up straight. I also coated her holes with apoxie to make them smooth. I gave her little fangs and filled in her mouth so she had her toothy grin. Sculpted the horn flat.

Decided to sculpt the ears afterall. The horn has wire on either side of it and it sticks into the hole her original horn left, anchored byt a tiny bit of apoxie. The horn has apoxie built up on the sides to give it more shape, but it will take a lot of sanding! I should have done one or the other, not both at the same time. I kept messing her ears up while attaching the horn!

I have her horn smooth now! Just a tiny dent on it I need to fill. First I shaved off a lot of the bulk excess with an xacto knife, then used fine sand paper and sanding sticks to sand the horn and ears.

I am terrified that the ears will break off when I go to rehair her, so I will have to be super careful. Any suggestions on hair colors to use on her?

Thank you. I actually broke the brim off of that hat and sculpted it bigger.

Thanks! I think I need to make her wings and tail before I can finish sculpting her back closed. Once that tail is in its permanent so I hope I don't mess it up!

Haha! I honestly don't know if I will sell her when she is done. She is one of the few characters that I love. But I think that when she is done, I will have a better idea of the work that goes into making her, and would likely be willing to take commissions to remake her.

Next, I am needing to make her some fantasy film wings. This is a good thing because I keep meaning to make a pair for my supply swap partner. I just have to see if I can finish them before it's time to ship.
