Any of you pony artists using Colors 3D?

So, I just recently bought Colors 3D for my 3DS, and despite my doubts, it's actually a really neat little app. Basically it's like a simplified, 3D Photoshop for the 3DS. One of my favorite features is that you can upload your art onto the online gallery, so everyone can see it and watch a playback of it being painted. Watching how other artists digitally paint has been really helpful to me, since I'm not very good at it myself. Plus, it's just fun


So, does anyone else here have a gallery I can browse? This is mine...only a few sloppy drawings so far (I'm still getting the hang of it!) but there IS pony art in there You don't need an account to view the site, but unfortunately without a 3Ds you won't be able to see it in 3D. (Bubbles looks MUCH cooler in 3D, I promise )

Whoa, that's awesome!!!  I have a DS, but not the 3DS.  I don't know if this program would work on mine.  I liked watching your drawing process though, that's really cool!

That's a pretty cool app. I'm definitely going to get it when I have the funds. Right now I have one called Inchworm Animation. It's kind of like Flip Note and PhotoShop together. i was disappointed the 3DS didnt have something like that initially.

Monstar-- Thanks! If you ever decide to upgrade to a 3DS (which I definitely recommend-- I absolutely love mine!) you should give it a try

Zenna- Thanks! Unfortunately it does only work on the 3DS....Although I think there is also a non-3D version for Apple devices of some sort...

Harvestmgirl- How do you like Inchworm? I've only just recently heard of it. It sounds like artsy people are torn between it and Flipnote and Colors...and Colors is the only one that I really know anything about

I must say, watching you draw was very fun.  You seem to "paint" it on... somehow you use a technique where you apply shading from the bottom up and then clear out the excess!  Wow it's really neat.  Thanks for sharing.... got me thinking about giving that technique a try!!!

Gabumon- Thanks! Yeah, on this program I'm kind of forced to color that way. On photoshop, I use the magic wand, lock transparent pixels, and clipping masks a lot. But Colors 3D doesnt have any of those features, so I have to go back to an older way of coloring. That's one thing I love about being able to watch replays with Colors though, it's great for learning new techniques

actually, my wife has it... i've never really played with it except a few minutes to try it out. i'll let you know when i figured out how it works!
