I just realised G1 Sweetheart Sister Flowerburst looks like one of the female centaurs from Disney's Fantasia (Pastoral).

That is pretty cool!  Hmmmm maybe an idea for some customs!    Just kidding, G1 ponies shouldn't be used as custom bait.

She's my favorite centaur <3 And I see no reason G1s shouldn't be used as baits if they're truly baity, but that's an argument that will always go around in circles. That would be a beautiful custom, though!

What's also interesting (maybe just to me, haha) is that I almost recreated something similar to this for the cherry blossom swap, so I'd been looking at pictures of that particular centaur I can't believe I didn't notice how similar they were.

That's my favorite story in Fantasia...  I used to pretend when I was little of being one of those centaurs! I think some customs would be a great idea.

I KNEW Flowerburst looked familiar for some reason!  That would certainly explain it!  Man, that's my favorite part of that movie; what with all the pretty pegasi/unicorns/centaurs running around.

They do look very similar, well spotted! I love the Fantasia movie!

Am I alone in thinking a custom would be a bad idea though? I just imagine it would look like one of the freaks from Toy Story (no offence meant to anyone who has actually made a centaur custom! it's just what my brain is envisioning!).

Centaur customs can look pretty amazing but also kinda creepy... >.> The proportions usually look a bit off... since a Barbie-sized doll even from the waist up is still just a bit too large for the G1 size body, and smaller dolls end up too small.

I hadn't thought about that! Mind, Fantasia didn't sit well with me as a child.. I was weirded out by parts of it, and then wandered off in disinterest.
