Things that make you think of ponies?

Usually when I listen to Queen I can't help but be reminded of G1 ponies. And the same goes for Journey as well.

Hm.

Groups like the Go-Go's, Bananarama, etc remind me of the older ponies. Bright, happy, bouncy...

Journey, for some reason, makes me think of 'Scrubs' and the TRON movies. o.o

It's not quite the same thing, but I was watching the news in a pub a while ago and it had those automatic subtitle things on instead of the sound? Totally read "government blames unions" to "government blames unicorns" - the worst thing is, a lot of the time it'll take me a while to figure out that that's not right - I'm so used to thinking about ponies that my brain just takes it for granted.

Lol oh my gosh, I do this all the time! My friends think it's hilarious. One time I read a sign that said "peanut butter" as "panther butter" and I've never lived it down.



Things that make me think of ponies:
- Bubblefish the Facebook game, makes me think of G1 Bubblefish of course
- "Yours Truly" at the end of a letter makes me think of SS Truly
- Every time someone says "Sundance" in reference to the film festival, I get really confused for a moment
- Apple Jacks cereal


There's also an "adult toy" store here in Minneapolis called Lickety Split. Soooo wrong.

hehe some of these are great!  Glad I am not the only one who thinks of ponies often     I know I've seen a "Meadowlark" street too (like Clover's older sister from MLP Tales).

Applejacks remind me of the pony!

Apple Jacks will probably always remind me of Applejack now though currently it's Applejack reminding me of the cereal. Hearing Twilight in any form makes me think of Twilight Sparkle.

Me too!  Really, any pony name in a different context makes me think of them.  I know every time I do something socially awkward, I find myself using "Fluttershy" as an adjective to describe my behavior, LOL.
Happens all the time with G1 ponies especially, though, since so many of them have food or common-noun names.
