I am going to start my own business planning personalized tours around New Zealand. I am just in the early stages and am trying to brain storm the best way to do this.
Could you please give me your ideas about prices or which option you would choose.
First option
Personalized tours are totally catered to your needs including hotel bookings, activity bookings, car rental bookings etc. It would also include 24hr call support while you are here in nz incase something goes wrong (ie snow has closed roads which interferes with your plans etc).
I would like to know how much you would expect to spay for this service?
I was thinking $200 for a family for up to 2 weeks and $50 each additonal week after that. $500 for a group (6-100 people).
In this senario your credit card details would be neccesary as hotel etc take a 10% deposit for bookings.
Option 2
For a set fee of $100 you could get an interary planned for you but no booking would be made, you would get a list of options and you would have to call the places yourself
Option 3
I have worked as a tourguide for 10 years and so I will be able to get 10% of most places (hotels/ activities) normal tour companies will take this 10% as commission, I would rather give it to the client hence the charge of the planning service. However I could also make the service free and just take the 10% commision
Also on a side note just wondering what you think of interary plans for brazil?
