How to remove stickers from playsets??? (and save them!)

Does anyone know how to remove stickers from playsets?  I'm restoring my Petite Pony Castle and I want to save the stickers to reattach them after I have fixed the yellowed plastic by soaking it in hydrogen peroxide.


Sometimes the stickers just come right off but most of them are really stuck down.

Try a heat gun (or a blow dryer, suppose that might work just as well) - they're great for removing stickers where the adhesive is still tacky.  I would not recommend products like Goo Gone for saving stickers as they tend to dissolve 'em.  Be gentle when pulling up stickers; a putty knife or thin metal spatula can also be helpful in lifting them off.

This is a tough one...as Baby Sugarberry says I would stay away from any kind of removal chemical as they will either remove the ink from the sticker or damage the sticker...

However, one of my friends is a sign writer and does a lot of vinyl fitting - he swears by his heat gun...however you need to make sure the whole sticker is heated before you start to remove it otherwise you run the risk of it breaking as it comes off - also the stickers are a vinyl sticker material and too much heat will make them pliable which can make them distort and change shape so be careful and dont "pull" them...the ultimate goal is to change the glue to a slightly more viscous substance than the solid it is and then slide the sticker off...you ll need to use goof off or something afterwards the remove the remaining glue on the playset.

If heat doesn't work, perhaps Ronsonol lighter fluid will - it's what stamp collectors use to remove self-adhesive stamps from envelopes without damaging them.

I am curious what the best way is to remove stickers that are aged and wrinkled.  My Stable is in really bad shape!

If they are fairly dry, sometimes you can lift them up just with gentle coaxing.  Dream Castle stickers are often like that, you touch 'em and they fairly pop right off.

Same here! I imagine steam will do it... but I'm not really sure >.<
