Princess Moondust with coral hair?
« on: April 17, 2012, 11:26:44 PM »
So I found this girl while thrifting a few weeks ago and only just now noticed her hair is coral and not the normal fading pink. I have lots of girls with perfect pussycat pink hair to compare with but her shade is completely different. Anyone know whats going on with this girl?

She looks just normal to me, other than the tail looking a bit longer than usual.
I think it's just the lighting in the picture.

Nope that photo is accurate  Hear she is next to a brand new hank of pussycat and and a few fading pink ponys for comparison. the photo were taken under natural light.

I think that is her original hair colour, its prone to fading to a pale pink, i'm looking for an upgrade if you are looking to sell her x

Almost wonder if she was re-pinked... some ponies I've re-pinked ended up with a more orangish pink tone...

she looks like normal princess moondust to me :) her hair does look bright though, have you popped her head off and looked inside at her roots?

I ll confuse everything by saying my MIB looks like the deeper pink you have a picture of and my loose one is a lighter pink! Sorry...I think its maybe just that the one you have loose in the pictures is completely unfaded...thats what I assumed with the MIB....

Thanks for the input guys :) I'm doubtful about her being a re-pink. Mostly because I got her from a lady who I get ponys from often and the extent of her knowledge on them is vintage=cash. She never tries to clean them up. Moondust was also very grubby when I got her- dirt and even mud on her body and terribly matted hair- I was wondering if I could even save it. This is her after 6 rounds of conditioner+flat iron. So unless a kid managed to re-pink her at some point...

I have not popped her head open yet- I was planing on it. I need to make sure shes not a nasty on the inside as she was on the outside.
For now I'll just assume she is completely un-faided pink unless opening her up reveals lighter roots :) Thanks for the help guys~
