Princess Primrose Variant?
« on: April 16, 2012, 05:23:55 AM »
Hi nirvana pony peeps!

I've been meaning to post about this lady for ages! I think it must be a year ago since I got her! I saw her on a BIN on eBay from Canada and thought she looked different so I bought her.

She is indeed different, she has sea green hair rather than blue, but her tail is still blue. The tail is the part I'm not sure about though; it's definitely a princess tail because it's thin, you know, the thin non-tinsel part that makes up a princess tail? The thing is I can't remember if the princess tails are made up of two tails (thin part and tinsel part) or if these two parts are combined together to make one tail?? If they're put into the pony seperately it's possible she just lost the tinsel part as her tail is loose, but if they were joined together and then put into the pony together then her tail is different too, as just the thin part is present.

What are your thoughts on her? Even if she's not really a variant, I like her sea green mane

The Princess I had like this with no tinsel and a long blue tail turned out to not be a Variant at all.
The tail was pulled to confirm and there was tinsel visible inside when it had been pulled out.
The mane can fade to the color shown in your picture and she should not have bangs.  I suggest you pull the head and pull the tail to check.

I did remove the picture of the one I had on my Web site as she was not a legit variation.

is her head loose at all? or can you remove her head to peep inside at what her tail washer and fastener looks like?

i can see there is a definate difference between her mane and tail colour.

That particular blue has the tendency to change color if exposed to lots of sunlight, my guess would be she's faded, and someone pulled the tinsel from her tail (or possibly lost hers and got one from Majesty/Firefly?)  It'd be interesting to see what color her mane is on the inside.

That would be my thought on the mane....that blue almost yellows over time which turns it an aquaish colour....but the lack of tinsel on the tail is odd - hopefully even if the mane is a fade, the tail makes her a variant.

Yes! Open her up and let us know. I'm dying of curiosity! :drunk:
Also, don't the nirvana princesses with glow-in-the-dark hair have a significant difference in the mane/tail colour?

She's got that annoyingly hard plastic going on that makes head-popping extremely difficult but I shall put her in some warm water to losen her up and have a go ;)

The tail came out when I brushed it. There is no washer any more and no evidence of tinsel, but when I dismantle her I will take a photo of it to show you :) I thought as much with the hair but I like it's prettiness :D

The tail seems very thin like I said in the original post, like some of the thin tails princesses have been seen to have.

I shall report back when I've pulled her to bits :P

Here is the picture of the one I had, which i thought was a variation until I found tinsel remnants in the tail washer.
