Sealer question
« on: April 11, 2012, 08:22:35 AM »
I plan on getting some Testors Dullcoat this weekend when DH and I make the trek to the big city.  But, I was curious, has anyone tried using Krylon flat finish?  It's at Walmart and easily available for me.  I was just curious if anyone had tried it and seen if it worked for them.  Thanks!

Most spray sealers do not work on ponies. For some reason spray sealers react badly with pony vinyl and usually turn sticky. Testors Dullcote seems to be the exception. ;)

If you do decide to try something new make sure you test it on a bait pony first and not a finished custom.

I've tried the Krylon stuff and it dries sticky.  Best to stick to Dullcote or watered down Modge Podge.
