Who else crochets?

When I was younger all I could do was make chains. So that's all I would do, maker really long single chains lol. I have made a few unfinished scarfs that really helped me practice. I have a few more little projects that I'm looking forward to making. The next one is a maneki neko, lucky cat. Eventually I'd like to do bigger stuff too.

Your dinos and bunnies are so cute. I wanted to post the bear I made but my picture came out sideways, and photobucket is a pain to use on my phone. I even got the app for my phone but you can't edit with it. Right now I'm making a Corgi for my boyfriend, as a surprise.  I also want to make this dragon I found online. I'm supposed to use a 2.0 mm hook though! I decided to try a 2.75 because I'm not sure I could user one that small lol. Eventually I'd like to make my own patterns too.

I also wanted to say I love the magic ring! When I first started crocheting I did the rings with the chains and it was really frustrating and hard at first. I got the hang of it but the magic ring is so much easier and looks awesome.

My Grandmother taught me (she raised me singly) and i went into too cool to crochet in jr high, so I only learned basic stitches, basically beaded bracelets and granny square afghans is all I can make.  I only can work with yarn, not thread, but I'm 27, and my mentor passed in '05. Im reteaching myself and hope to be able to make all the things she  could make with accuracy, good tension, and precision. The patterns seem so hard to read! I just picked it back up about 3months ago. I am making an afghan that is 3colors with red heart super saver yarn. Tea leaf, orchid, and coffee. It's gonna be queen sized for  the bedand my biggest crochet project to this date. It will go on the bed when completed (the man disagrees lol!), but its gonna happen! Thinking about entering it in the county fair next year. Im shy though, so not sure yet. See how it looks when its done :-) Theresxalready a couple boo boos I cant seem to figure out the mysteries to  but hey, its a learning process

I do, or used to.  I needle felt so much now I don't have a ton of time for it.  I'm only good at making amigurumi of my own design as I am crap at following a crochet pattern.
