G3 hair length

Is anyone else bothered by the length of G3's manes? xD
I'm not fond of them dragging on the floor, I worry they'll get ruined. I wish they were more like the early G1 styles, where the hair was shorter & wrapped around the neck.
I'm really hesitant to cut them though. I've trimmed Butterscotch's forelock to eye-length & it looks really cute, but her actual mane's still long. Has anybody given their ponies a trim? I don't plan on selling them, & I think a haircut can add personality & make them more individual, but at the same time I don't want to ruin them.

The longer the hair the better for me! So alas I am a "no" to your question...I like the extra luxurious hair you get with some G3s

However, I think you are right the variety in G1 - some short, some long, some curly, some straight - makes the line special and makes you think a lot of time and effort was put into the products!

hehe i must agree with hathorcat, I looove long hairs plus, i really don't think the hair is going to get ruined by being on the ground.

But i have one idea, you can give some of them curls, that will make the hair effectively shorter and you can even adjust the tightness of curls to get the desired length

This is what I hate about G4s...its like they forgot ponies needed tails so gave them a random skinny little gesture of a tail...I love the evolution of ponies clearly short tails and long manes is a "genetic trait" taken through into G4...

I like the longer manes, they're fun to play with and you get more satisfaction from combing long manes than the shorter ones. Just my opinion:)

Me too! In face I think the g4s could do with double the amount of hair even in their mane aswell!
