Anyone have extra apoxie sculpt???
« on: February 15, 2012, 10:32:51 PM »
Hi there!

Does anyone have extra aves apoxie sculpt that they would like to sell me?  I also have lots for trade.  Their shipping seems so high on the website so I was hoping I could get some for the same price but cheeper shipping!  Thanks!

Do you have a Hobby Lobby near you? They sell Milliput, and the yellower (lower grade) stuff is comparable in price to apoxie sculpt. I like it well enough and haven't had any problems using it. It is quite sticky, but it's better than paying for the high price of shipping.

Hi there!

If you're interested in Apoxie for the long term.. I suggest buying it from their website as opposed to, say, amazon..  I looked around quite a bit to price it, and the shipping from Aves is cheaper than amazon, and the Apoxie itself is much cheaper if you buy the big tubs of it.

Failing that, have you tried Michaels? Or any smaller hobby store? I have seen it in small hobby stores (like planes and cars) in tiny quantities for $10. You don't have to spend money on shipping.. But.. You make up for it in the higher prices. I think it was only a half lb or a lb container for $10 (and that is the combined weight of both parts).

Anyway.. If you can afford to buy it online, in the larger quantity, you will save money in the long run. If you cant afford it, then buying the more expensive smaller portion from a hobby store will probably get you through for now, but will be more expensive in the long run.

Not what you wanted to hear, I know.. But i hope it helps eventually.

The problem is that anyone who has some bought it and paid full price.  It would be hard for someone to sell you a product at a discounted price when they had to pay full price. They would just lose the money they invested. Does that make sense?
I'm not really on here anymore. Email me if you need my for something.
