Fakie tail help(future custom ideas as well :))

I have a question. I have a fakie that instead of a hole for her tail, she has individual holes for each plug of hair. How would I go about making it a proper tail hole?  I don't want to make it one humongous hole

And I just wanted to share the sketch I did for my hopes for my first custom which I intend to turn said fakie into. Haha :3 As for colors I'm not sure yet. I was thinking orange and white. Since this will be my first custom I definitely don't want to tackle a FBR and will keep her blue color. I'll most likely be changing her symbol as well. I don't really like it...
But let me know what you think! And I would love any suggestions you might have I plan on making her name Fynbos Fleet if that helps with any ideas. Haha :3 Thank you!

Well the simple answer would be to cut along the outer holes to make a proper tail hole

yup, I had a fakie like that and I just cut along the individual holes to make a tail hole

You might not have any choice on the size if you do it that way.  You could; first remove the hair ofcourse, create the proper size hole you want, then fill in the origing tail plug holes with thick glue or soft clay (repeat filler application until smooth finish), then you can come up with a design to that can cover up the holes.  Be gentle when putting your new tail in so you dont crack or pop out your filler.
